Wow

Amazing work, the animation here was great although the running could be improved on this flash, I loved the colours you have used in this flash they really worked with the whole animation and the small details where pretty nice on this flash. Definatly something worth watching and the graphics here where great too, I really loved them.

The music was really fitting with the whole thing and the ending was good, although nothing seemed to make a great deal of sense, it was still good to watch, although the guy with the fly was a little predicable yet still kind of harsh, lol. Anyway, a very good flash overall, just didn't have much of a plot to it, keep it up though :)

Yeah, nothing I've submitted here ever has had a plot really.
Whether it's a good or bad thing I'll never know.

So-So

The menu here is really just text and having the story on the preloader as text isn't really good to be honest, most people aren't going to read a block of text, it would be a lot better if you had your story set out as a flash and told it that way. The buttons in the menu are annoying to click, put a new layer and a square on that layer to cover all the text, convert it to graphic and set alpha to 0, that should fix the button up.

The flash itself, well some animations look okay but the backgrounds again let you down here, they really need to look a little better, work on them as well as trying to move away from using sticks. The music was okay as well as the sound effects, you just need to work on drawing.

Phantox responds:

Thanks for the review. I'll do what you said about the buttons. About the story, I didn't make it as a flash because the part that I explained was based around what happened before the actual flash.
I'm still working on the drawing.

Again, thanks for the review.

Very Random

It really made no sense what so every, it had no real plot to it and right at the start it seemed like it was halfway through an animation with the way it was going. The drawing is another thing here, it's not that great and does need a lot of work, you have the colours suddenly changing at parts and buildings jerking in the wrong direction. Use some solid colours for the background and use shading too.

The sticks, okay pretty basic but it doesn't matter too much, they seemed to animatate okay except with the blood, that didn't look too good, make the blood more realistic and use some other shades of red in it. Keep working with your drawings and try to improve.

Phantox responds:

Thanks for the review. It was my first flash so I didn't know much on what I was doing. I didn't add a real plot because I wasn't planning on continuing it.

Alright

Filesize was maybe a little too big and the music playing in only one side is quite annoying, might want to use music that keeps to the center and plays in both ears, otherwise it's harsh on people who use headphones. The story was okay and the animation of the sprites was decent, though in parts a little streached maybe.

Good sound effects and the random sound clips of talking did kind of brake the repetativness of pushing space all the time. The menu could have looked better though, the text was hard to see and the intro, maybe not so fast scrolling. But other than that, pretty decent.

Nice Work!

I thought this flash was actually pretty good, the music was good quality although some of it wasn't really too good in my view, but easy to hear and it did fit in with the whole animation. The animation and art was pretty good most of the way, some parts did look a little odd like the pill falling near the beginning looked a little flat.

But otherwise, some really good work here, most of the animation was great and there where also some funny parts as well as some parts which seemed to be pretty serious. This seemed like it had a message within it. Overall though, a really nice peice of work!

Skaijo responds:

You're review is really comprehensive, detailing all kinds of bits and peices that you found in the animation. It was very clearly written, structured, and obviously proof-read. Your critiques are supported with examples and I didn't feel like you were trying to be rude in any way.

I find this to be a very supportive review that is pleasantly informative. Great work. For the future, I would vary my adjectives a bit as you tended to overuse the word "good" a bit in the beginning of the review.

Cool

I can see that you have done this in MS Paint, as you have also said and I must say it's very good animation considering as well as the drawings being very nice though the lack of a preview image might make people ignore it more, should have one made. But the animation is good and everything else is nice, although maybe a litte short in someways but eh, still good.

The spray for the stars looked a little messy in my opion though but that's the only thing, everything else is good, sound is also nice so very good work on this, keep it up. Happy Dailyday too :)

Alright

The graphics are pretty nice and the sound is good to, although it's a little hard to hear the voices, maybe the music should have been a little quieter. Although there isn't much change in the background or anything, it is quite easy to just look away from the flash.

The way it ends and loops is pretty odd, you could have had him ride off then ride back and start over with everything, but eh, only if you really wanted to loop it better, lol. But overall it's pretty nice and quite funny in someways, good job and happy Dailyday.

SeizureDog responds:

Well the talking and the music is all part of the same song, so nothing I could have done there :P

And about the end: ANIMATE something? Pish posh, it's daily day.

Decent

It was a pretty decent flash here, although the sound was a little poor with the talking, it could be a little better in that part, the music and sound effect where there was some sounded good though, so that was nice. Although this was a little short, it was still pretty funny.

The graphics here where really nice and the animation was pretty smooth although it has to be said that the mouth movement could be a little better, maybe learn some lip syncing and improve that for future flash. But all in all, I have to say this was pretty funny.

Skaijo responds:

Thanks for such an in depth review on such a short animation. You made a lot of valid points while not seeming too critical of on the brevity of the work.

+ You're constructive criticism is pretty on point on both the lip syncing and voice actor puffing.
-/+ You're a bit too easy on me with the graphics. They're a step up from lazy in my book. Ha! Perhaps you could try commenting on the quality of the backgrounds for future reviews (since I only had a linear fill).

All and all, it's a this is a great review! It's critiques are supported with proper examples from the flash and it's very informative while also being pleasantly supportive. That said, the punctuation could have been double-checked in order to better clarify any points that you had attempt to convey. It's good to know that the Review Request Club still has active and diligent members.

Alright

Well to start with, the next image for Afro does look better, much smoother, though it was quite an intresting way to bring it into the flash and proably future flash though to be honest. But still, pretty unique way of doing it. I did notice that you didn't have a floor, so Graham seemed to be flooting in someway, would be a good idea to have a floor under the subtitle frame, lol.

Pretty good sounds and voice acting, though lip movement could be more realistic and other animations, also do you know why the replay button doesn't work? If you are using Flash CS3, you could open a new Actionscript 2 document and do it that way, or learn buttons for CS3. But alright, just keep working on animations, maybe even find some shortcuts to do things ;)

"Graham seemed to be flooting in someway"

Perhaps he IS floating. XD

"also do you know why the replay button doesn't work?"

I'm using Flash 8, and perhaps the 60FPS fucked up the button and sounds.

Alright

Well I guess it's alright for a days work though thinking of ideas might be hard in a day then voicing them and such, so yeah, pretty good idea behind this as well as it being his birthday. Although I didn't get the thing about the Futurama DVD, maybe you could have explained that a little during his rage, just to make people understand that a little more.

Graphics still could be improved, the shoulders are too square, maybe make a new layer under the arm and about the body and draw a circle and line it up, this should make it look rounder and more like a shoulder, keep working at it though. Also Happy Birthday to Crackman/DreamTheater.

kinggila responds:

Crackman hates Futurama, so he decided to hit me with his guitar. I will admit, that part could've been explained more and that would have been so if I had more time.

Thanks for reviewing.

This water is making my head feel really funny, what did you put in it?
