Okay

It's not too bad overall, but I must say it is kind of annoying, you could have an easier way of finding the orbs because it gets a little tedious in my view to hunt around the screen with a clumsy big circle to try to find them and then shoot. So you might want to work on that for a start off. The menu looked pretty nice which was okay and the sound for that was good.

The main game I noticed did lack sounds, you could have had a few sound effects in this like shooting and such. I would also suggest a diffrent concept to the game, shooting yellow balls to me just seems a little boring, maybe use the code here and expand a little, like maybe shooting ships from a sub, that could be much more intresting.

Clever

Although the main presentation of the menu and everything could be improved quite a lot with buttons that are equal in size and look much better than just text in a border. The main point to the flash was done very well, all the choices and possiblitys was really a good idea and well thought out I belive to get it to work in like you did here.

The way it ended was the same for each which did keep it consistant but I do think it must have been quite hard to stick to the same lines for the start and end, so good job writting poems to fit for all and still sound good. Though the text could be improved too with presentation, it was still good. The narration was pretty good to, almost perfect even but there was something there that sounded a little muffled.

All the same, this does seem to be a good idea, the only problems I have with this is the presentation of it. I mean you have the poems done well and the narration is almost there to, good work overall.

Vert responds:

Thanks for all the compliments! You're dead right about many things, specially about how it was -very- hard to write each ending for the poem to be the same. I can't remeber exactly why I chose that sort structure for the poem, but it meant that I had to somehow weave it into each poem ending... which was probably the hardest part of writing the poem (which, in turn, was the hardest part of the flash). Thanks for noticing!

The problem with the narration is that I have only a reasonable microfone and my computer is way too noisy, making the recording quality a bit low (but it's definatly improved from past recordings, I think). You're also dead right about the presentation, which is why I'm determined to seek out a co-author if (and it's almost certain) I make a new flash poem. Thanks for the review!

Intresting

There isn't too much of anything new here, most of these I have seen before, but some of them such as the flag one, I haven't seen before. The layout is quite an issue with this I have to say, a solid background to everything would look much better than the gradient background that you had here, it was kind of destracting also the menu and buttons seemed to be a little too simple, some little work there would have been good.

Navigation through the whole thing was pretty simple and much of the instructions where quite clear too. Though at times the text didn't seem to fit in too well and you had squashed it in, maybe have it on the page before an illusion or something, otherwise, pretty decent.

Simple

It's a very simple game and there isn't a whole lot that can be said about it, the menu could be improved to look a little better but that isn't a huge problem as it does it's job as a menu. The credits though, I wouldn't bother having them scrolling up, they would all fit on one page and you could just stick a back button on there, it would make it easier to read them.

The game itself, it's easy to play and submiting the score seems simple, though you don't get to see the high score table or anything, you might want to look into that. The graphics aren't really anything special though the colours are good and easy on the eyes, so that's okay.

Pretty Nice

The game seems to run pretty fine though there are a few problems with attacking at times, sometimes it won't register attacks and the enemies HP won't go down so you have to stop and move around a bit. Also with the following, maybe it would be good to have it as a user choice, since there is a part with a mass of enemies and it's not really the easiest thing to get past on your own.

The screen placing also seems a little odd to me, it's all the way in the top left, it would make more sense to be in the centre if you are having a background picture for it. But other than the mentioned, the game works pretty find and looks good to, so yeah, good work on this.

Okay

Well it's kind of limited in many ways though you do have a pretty decent choice, some of them are funnier, others just don't really seem to be, but eh, the menu and choice settings are both presented well, though the scrolling of the choices seems more for looks than practicality. A drop down list or something word have worked better but maybe not looked as good.

The animation seems pretty decent, which is good though there is much detail missing, some backgrounds might have been nice to have or just some background objects even to give something else to look at. But otherwise, it seems to be pretty good.

Graeme responds:

The scrolling menu was something I envisioned for the game when I first started.
I kept it, even though it won't keep track of where you last death was, or anything of that manner.
So yea, I see what you mean. But I thought it was still kinda cool :D

I left backgrounds out.
The original had no backgrounds, so animation was solely focused on the deaths.
Also, I don't draw the greatest backgrounds...

Good

This is a pretty good game here once you get the hang of it, though I'm not really good at these sorts of games, they don't amuse me all that much, lol. But the menu screen looks very good and easy to navigate which is good to see and everything else seems fine from what I can see, good sound and the animation seems to work fine.

Control setup is good too, everything hear is good except the poor connection to your site at times, that might need looking into but other than that, everything loads fine and looks good too, so overall, yeah, nice work.

Okay

It's nothing really new from any other mouse maze in my view, infact you even have the same right click and move to the finish then left click exploit, that really needs fixing, but doing that I can see you didn't even have a finish message, which would have been good to have in my view, just for something to aim for otherwise it's pointless.

Though I did cheat to start, I tried again without, to make sure I cover everything you know. The big arrow at first made it look like it was going to be clumsy to get through, intimidates the player from the get go in my view, use a simple small arrow which looks like it can get through, a dot even. Some of the parts seemed hard but they can be done, so yeah.

The fact it's a collab is pretty intresting, though it didn't really change the fact that there's nothing really new or intresting about it, not sure what you could add to a mouse maze, but I wasn't too impressed by this, sorry.

Alright

It's kind of a silly game but it seems to have been done pretty well, though some of them are kind of hard to work out but often the texture gives it away, I can tell them appart but time limits cause silly mistakes. Randomising the images would be a pretty good idea too, that would mean that you could memorise what they are, lol. The message at the end is also pretty funny and the verious other messages.

The music was okay, though after a while it did become a little eh, it was good for a bit though, maybe a mute button or something, not to say it's bad but when you want to play over and over to see how you can do, it does get boring to listen to. But overall, a pretty decent game.

Bezman responds:

You're obviously a lad who knows his fruit! Congrats!
Would have been nice to know your score, but enh.

Randomisation and mute buttons are both excellent ideas.

Thanks for the top-banana review!

Uhh Okay

Well there are som obvious improvments that could be made with this, such as the sprite moving into a run animation sprite when you move it, also there is far too much empty space, use less area or more items around. The people you talk to need the crash actionscript too so you can't just walk through them, that and you need to hide the right click menu.

The idea is okay and some of the things you have it are also good, you just have a lot of things that need fixing, the yellow gate looks kind of silly too, you might want an actual gate sprite or something for that, it would make it look a little better. Keep working at it though.
